The national IT services market grew 6.1% in the first half of 2019 compared to the same period last year, according to the IDC Semiannual Services Tracker 2019H1 study by IDC Brasil, a leader in market intelligence, consulting and conference services for Information Technology and Communications industries. Among the demands that influenced this result, the migration of workloads (workloads) to the cloud, the support and consulting services for the adoption of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Big Data & Analytics and the services of Cloud Providers (service providers). cloud), which provide infrastructure, platforms and/or software over a network.

The area that stood out the most in the IT services market in the first half of 2019 was Managed Services, a trend predicted by IDC in early 2019 to achieve flexible IT in terms of not only operations, but also but cost.

In the period, the highlights were the medium-sized companies segment, which became the target of large service providers with more structured offers, and the financial market, which registered important movements in traditional banks, fintechs and digital banks. “The investments made by companies in the financial market, for example, are beneficial for the customer, who has a more agile and fluid user experience, and for the market as a whole, promoting competition and the search for excellence”, explains Luiz Monteiro. , research analyst and IT services consultancy at IDC Brasil.
