Memphis Solutions, a company specialized in logistics management, decided to develop a WMS (Warehouse Management System) in GeneXus to inaugurate a new business front, which offers the market the reverse logistics service.
Memphis realized that the solutions on the market did not have the flexibility to adapt to the needs of its customers, who operate in different segments and, therefore, require customization. As a user of GeneXus' low-code tool for other demands, which was provided by Socium Partner, Memphis chose to develop its own WMS capable of parameterization that is required by its customers.
Now, the entire reverse logistics process, from equipment return to product dispatch, can be managed by Memphis through WMS, developed in conjunction with AGL Solutions. “Using the WMS developed in GeneXus, we were able to operate a severe control and movement process, offering total transparency and integration with tools used by our customers, such as SAP”, explains Eduardo Ribeiro, CEO of Memphis.
The solution made it possible for Memphis to act as an intelligence and operations manager in the logistics segment, controlling from the request made in the Customer Service by the customer, to the receipt and organization of products in its warehouse, which has an infrastructure of pallet racks and production lines. of storage control.
According to Ricardo Recchi, country manager for GeneXus Brazil, Portugal and Cape Verde, using a low-code tool it is possible to complement companies' services and systems, providing a competitive edge. “The development of the WMS carried out by Memphis promotes the effective monitoring of a process that is considered a critical mission for companies that use logistics services, providing indicators that bring an important vision for decision making”, concludes Recchi.
