Meeting at the ACATE Innovation Center on July 8

A happy hour with the participation of entrepreneurs, researchers and new entrepreneurs will address the performance of Florianópolis as the Capital of Entrepreneurship, at the ACATE Innovation Center – CIA Primavera. The meeting refers to the result of Endeavor's Entrepreneurial Cities Index, released in 2014, which portrays the capital of Santa Catarina as a model for the country.

The debate around the question “Startup Ecosystem – After all, is Florianópolis the best capital to undertake?” will be the central theme of the 9th Startup SC Meetup, on July 8, from 7pm to 10:30pm, dedicated to those interested in investing or getting involved with the startup market in Santa Catarina. The event is part of the StartupSC project, an initiative by Sebrae/SC for the development and strengthening of startups in Santa Catarina.

“The meetup was designed to be a meeting in an informal environment, focused on inspiring, training and promoting networking among entrepreneurs. When the event manages to combine these characteristics and still count on the engagement of several organizations, we realize what it is to involve people in an innovation ecosystem”, considers Alexandre Souza, coordinator of StartupSC.

In addition to highlighting what is working in the city, such as digital entrepreneurship initiatives, the Meetup will serve to raise points for improvement in the scenario and sustainability challenges.

The meeting will feature invited entrepreneurs, managers and investors, who will be the panelists on the theme. Participants: Gabriel Santos, coordinator of the Technological MIDI and executive secretary of the Santa Catarina Association of Technology Companies (ACATE); Marcos Mueller, business development at Fundação CERTI and CVentures; Marcelo Wolowski, founding partner of the investment consulting firm BZPlan; Eric Santos, CEO and founder of Resultados Digitais; Clarissa Stefani Teixeira, professor at UFSC in the discipline of Innovation Habitats; Diego Ramos, director of Teltec Solutions; João Bernartt, CEO and co-founder of Chaordic, and José Henrique Domingues Carneiro, Municipal Secretary of Science and Technology of Florianópolis. The mediation will be conducted by journalist Renata Leal from the magazine Pequenas Empresas & Grandes Negócios.

The 9th edition of the Meetup is a realization of Sebrae/SC and organization of MIDI Technological, ACATE, Impact Hub, Startup Grind Floripa and Smartmob. The event is sponsored by Teltec Solutions, VEC Consultoria and SoftCon Accounting.
