As Guilherme Corrêa, infrastructure analyst at the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications had already anticipated, during IoT Challenges, held by ABES on 11/6, MCTIC launched this Wednesday (5), in São Paulo , the Digital Transformation Observatory, a platform that stores content and the main actions aimed at digitizing the country. It is maintained through a partnership with the Competitive Brazil Movement (MBC) and the Telecommunications Research and Development Center (CPqD), with the aim of ensuring the engagement and participation of Brazilian citizens in monitoring public policies on the subject. .

According to MCTIC's Secretary of Digital Policies, Thiago Camargo, the repository will serve as a driving force for digitization and technological development in Brazil. “We want the Observatory to be a reference for the entire community involved with digital transformation. And also that this portal is a major factor for technological development, creating synergies between the various actors and bringing together large companies, research centers, startups, civil society and all spheres of government”, he said.

The tool is available at this link. It contains relevant information about digitalization, such as indicators and sources of funding, and the main actions taken by the federal government to achieve the established objectives. Among them are the Brazilian Strategy for Digital Transformation (E-Digital), the National Plan for the Internet of Things (IoT) and the Science, Technology and Innovation Plan for Advanced Manufacturing (ProFuturo).

“With this tool, anyone will be able to follow the various actions that are underway in Brazil towards digital transformation. And, in addition, it will be able to monitor how public policies built at the federal level are being developed and access relevant information about the digital economy in the country. This will allow a very important interaction so that the initiatives we develop can be effective and beneficial for all Brazilian citizens”, highlighted the director of Science, Technology and Digital Innovation of MCTIC, José Gontijo.
