Through a work coordinated by the IT Sector of Maringá and region, together with the support of organized civil society, another step was taken in conquering a space for the installation of a Technological Park for the more than 400 companies of the ICT ecosystem (Information and Communication Technologies) regional.
 
The mayor of Maringá, UIisses Maia, signed, on March 7, a decree for the allocation of an area for the installation of this park, in an area of approximately 120 thousand square meters. In addition to companies, educational institutions will also be covered, bringing new talents closer to the job market.
 
The space must have space for the participation of universities, through research and innovation centers, co-working environments aimed at the development of startups, creation spaces, such as FabLab, common food areas, in addition to parking, day care, places for meetings, debates and training.
 
For Franz Wagner Dal Belo, director of Technological Innovation at the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development of Maringá, "the technological sector in Maringá has been growing a lot in recent years and it is only fair that the city government offers conditions to increase this growth even more. that the park becomes a reference for the whole country, in addition to contributing to the increase in the collection of ISS for the city, through the creation of new companies", explains Dal Belo.
 
For Rafaela Campos, president of Software by Maringá, an entity that brings together companies in the region's IT sector, "the initiative marks the recognition of the strength of the segment, which has more than 4 thousand people working in software development and in all other areas related to information technology. The objective is to bring together IT companies in the same physical space, in which it will be possible to further expand our technology ecosystem", he concludes.
