LinkedIn, the largest professional network in the world, has just reached the mark of 15 million users in Brazil – in October 2012, there were 10 million Brazilians connected to the network. With this number, the country maintains the third position in number of users, behind only the United States and India.

The professional network, founded in the US in 2003, gained popularity in Brazil in April 2010, when it developed its Portuguese version. At this time, it had about a million users. Since then, growth in the country has been constant and intense, both in terms of number of users and corporate clients.

“All of our actions are designed based on the user's experience, as we believe that the company's success depends on the trust they place in LinkedIn. This is one of the main values of the company, known internationally as 'members first'. And we believe that the positive response in Brazil is largely due to this mutual respect”, says Osvaldo Barbosa de Oliveira, general director of LinkedIn Brazil.
