In partnership with Mercedes-Benz and Webmotors, interested startups can apply until 04/29

Liga Ventures – an accelerator specialized in generating business between startups and large corporations – has just opened registration for the 3rd acceleration cycle of Liga AutoTech (liga.ventures/autotech), an open innovation program that will prospect, select and accelerate startups in partnership with large companies in the auto sector. For this new round of acceleration, the program has a partnership with the giants Webmotors and Mercedes-Benz.

According to Rogério Tamassia, co-founder of Liga Ventures, the program is a great opportunity for major players to invest in innovation. "The focus of Liga AutoTech is to offer innovations that can transform sectors such as transport, logistics, mobility and the automobile industry - essential for the country's growth".

After registration, between 4 and 8 startups will be selected for the third cycle, in topics such as management and services for fleets, retail, pre and post-sales, logistics, big data and analytics, telemetry, tracking and mobile payments.

For four months, the selected startups will undergo an acceleration program with the aim of exploring business opportunities with the large participating companies, in addition to having access to mentoring with industry executives and the Liga Ventures mentor network. Participating startups will also be able to expand networking with potential partners and investors. No equity or intellectual property consideration is required from accelerated startups.

First and second cycle already show good results

In the first batch, Menu.vc – a marketplace that connects the food industry to the market for restaurants, bars, pizzerias, snack bars was one of the highlights. The marketplace is accelerating and is valued at over R$ 20 million. Currently, the platform has more than 60 industries that serve 3,000 merchants and the goal is to reach 10,000 establishments by the end of the year.

In the second cycle, the highlight was Moobie – a platform that allows car rental between individuals. Launched in March 2017, the startup has more than 60 thousand users and three thousand registered cars. Accelerated by Liga AutoTech, the startup is on its way to becoming the main car sharing platform in Brazil.
