The Chinese Lenovo, the second largest manufacturer of personal computers in the world, behind only the American HP, and which bought the Brazilian CCE last year for R$ 300 million, closed an agreement with Research in Motion (RIM), maker of the BlackBerry cell phone. The company wants to increase its participation in the segment of mobile devices.

“We are looking at several opportunities, including RIM and many others. “We will have no hesitation if the right business opportunity comes along,” said Lenovo President Wong Wai Ming at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. "Long term there will be a drop in PC sales," says Jean-Louis Lafayeedney, an analyst at JI Asia in Hong Kong. Even so, Lenovo can bring the success achieved in the PC space to the mobile segment”.
