The objective of the partnership is to boost sustainable mobility in Brazil

Provide increasingly sustainable mobility. This is one of the major goals of the automotive sector, which already has major initiatives being taken in this direction. It is in light of this mission that LECAR, a national electric car manufacturer, has just started its approach with CPQD in Campinas/SP, one of the largest research and development centers in Latin America with a focus on innovation and information and communication technologies ( ICT). The collaboration aims to advance essential technologies for a greener and more connected future in Brazil.

A technological reference in the country, CPQD is a private organization with more than 40 years in the market, today integrating the open innovation ecosystem that has been leveraging entrepreneurship, through its notorious competence in Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Connectivity, Blockchain and Electric Mobility. Its services include the development of product technologies and mission-critical systems that adhere to the complex needs of the market – all of which are the result of its RD&I program, which is the basis for innovation in its strategic themes in the future of smart cities, smart agribusiness and advanced manufacturing.

Given this sizeable commitment, the partnership met LECAR's purpose. “I was impressed with the organization's facilities, state-of-the-art equipment and quality of professionals. We are confident that the collaboration with CPQD will be fruitful, boosting the development of new projects and innovations that will be crucial for us”, highlights Flávio Figueiredo Assis, founder of the automaker.

CPQD representatives were also optimistic about the partnership. “We have the tools and expertise necessary to support the revitalization of the national automobile industry, thus contributing to Brazil maintaining its competitiveness in the global technological scenario. With LECAR, we are optimistic that we will chart a path of great prosperity”, highlights Raul Fernando Beck, Energy Solutions manager at CPQD.

The goal, with this approach, is that CPQD solutions can be used in projects developed by LECAR, supporting the resurgence of the national automobile industry and contributing to new technologies and innovations in the sector. “Our main mission is not to leave Brazil at a technological disadvantage on the global stage. This union will bring even more strength so that, together, we can unlock Brazil's innovative potential and achieve increasingly better results”, concludes Assis.
