As it is a transversal technology, it can be applied to companies of any size or segment. Lab245 has always kept up to date with market trends, thinking about generating benefits for our customers.”, highlights Maria Luiza Reis, founder and CEO of the company, mechanical engineer and PhD in nuclear engineering from COPPE/UFRJ and vice president of ASSESPRO-RJ.

"Our differential is to develop low code tools that optimize the company's daily life, in addition to facilitating the user's life, in which there is no need for technical knowledge of traditional programming", complete the executive.

Currently, Lab245 also has Magali Robot in its portfolio, an artificial intelligence platform that is consolidating itself as an important tool for intelligent capture, combined with process automation. The group also has two startups: Maps245 and MyHealth245.

Maria Luiza gave an interview to the ABES Portal to talk about the projects and perspectives for 2023. Check it out!

1) How the LAB245 market has evolved over these 25 years. What is the current mission of the company and its differentials?

A third of our team works directly with research and development of new products and, therefore, a good part of the 25 years have been of new launches without abandoning the classic ECM and BPM that made the company known in the market.

In 2022, we launched Digital Contracts, a platform that reduces the problem of dealing with organizations in the digitalization process; indexes and classifies all document templates; facilitates the certification of electronic signatures, and assists in decision-making based on content analysis. Therefore, we continue with our mission to facilitate and modernize the total management of information.

2) When and why did you incorporate Low Code technology into your software development process?

Our ECM, BPM, AI and BI tools are already designed to offer low code capabilities. They are tools that we offer to the market so that the user himself can model his solutions and deploy them without the need for programming.

We also offer consultancy for the implementation of the system which, as it is done in low code, has shorter deadlines, lower costs, is more robust and secure than traditional solutions.

3) What is Magali Robot, when was it developed and how is it integrated into the services offered by LAB245?

Magali Robot is an artificial intelligence platform aimed at reading and analyzing documents, the so-called unstructured data. It reads and sorts documents by content dates, subjects, location and other configurable information without the document having a pattern. The document can be a scanned image or a pdf, for example.

Magali Robot can also be used as a data integration or migration tool, when the source data structure is not compatible with the target structure. This intelligence is capable of creating a structure from>to by itself, greatly simplifying these processes.

Magali Robot also acts as a virtual analyst in the flow of complex rules that involve the evaluation of combined subjective and objective information. Version 1.0 of Magali Robot was released in 2018 and version 2.0 in 2022.

4) What are Lab245's main customers?

Lab245 has major clients in its portfolio, such as Estácio de Sá University (YDUQS), TBG (Transportadora Brasileira Gasoduto Bolivia-Brasil), ENEL, Carvalho Hosken and Sociedade Desportiva Palmeiras. We also have solutions implemented in companies such as TV Globo, Petrobras, Odebrecht, Bayer and Bancorbras, which won awards for best among systems throughout Brazil with our tools.

5) Can you name a successful case of Lab245?

The partnership between Estácio de Sá University and Lab 245 allowed the development of applications involving ECM and BPM for the most diverse activities of the University in all units and poles throughout Brazil, among them the Accounts Payable, HR and issuance sector of diplomas.

The implementation of the accounts payable system provided agility in controlling the sending of bills and slips within the deadline, avoiding fines, protests and losses in commercial agreements.

The implemented solution was the development of a workflow system with 7 steps, which is integrated with the SAP© system
through webservices to validate and authorize payment requests for materials received by all centers.

In addition to the automatic barcode reader for entry into the system and, mainly, automatic rejection without the need for e-mail communication, speeding up the correction of billing information and delivery on time for payment. The system has a wide range of reports with management indicators.

6) What are the company's main market results in 2022 and the goals for 2023?

The year 2023 is starting with many new projects, continuing the success achieved in 2022 when we registered a growth of 27% compared to 2021.

Thinking about internationalization, the Lab245 spin-offs: MyHealth245 and Maps245 already have a guaranteed space at WebSmmit 2023.
