Technological alliance aims to provide complete and robust IT solutions to support customers to act in compliance

Offer customers a set of easy, automated administration solutions, with a low maintenance cost and the best, ready to help them adapt to the newly approved privacy laws: GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and LGPD (Law General Data Protection). This is the proposal for the new stage of the technological alliance between VMware and Veritas, companies that have been working together for more than 20 years, when companies realized the synergy and complementarity of their solutions and how it could benefit organizations. With the new data protection laws, this partnership has become even more important.

Both LGPD and GDPR aim to protect citizens, ensuring their right to privacy, a guarantee that now needs to be ensured by all companies, regardless of segment or size. However, in order for them to be able to collect, store and use this data correctly, guaranteeing the necessary privacy, they need to have tools that ensure this, and that have been offered by Veritas and VMware for a long time.

“Many companies are still a little confused about what they must do to comply with the laws and, together, we were able to offer a complete and integrated technology, from a data management point of view - ensuring intelligent storage, providing visibility and quick access to information and, mainly, the classification of stored and protected data - to all services offered by VMware, including those that customers already have at home ”, explains Gustavo Leite, country manager at Veritas Brasil.

According to Kleber Oliveira, director of Channels and Alliances at VMware in Brazil, the partnership makes the two companies even more complete to support companies to adapt to the new legislation. “VMware offers not only virtualization technologies, but also solutions for enterprise mobility. With Veritas, we are able to guarantee the security and management of data stored in virtual machines wherever they are ”, completes the executive.

The companies' solutions are complete and users can have at their disposal a safe environment, with a scalable, modern and autonomous tool. It provides total control of the systems, with a lower cost, addressing the main security concerns, providing rapid recovery of virtualized and multicloud-ready environments.

Currently, both sell 100% per channel, with many distributors in common, and with a joint go to market strategy they can not only help the channel when offering a product, but also in delivering a complete and end-to-end service. The partnership has been so successful that the two now run together in major players in the market, including some of the main Brazilian banks.

To further strengthen this alliance, companies are developing initiatives to encourage the sale of their solutions and show the relevance of this integration to channels and customers, through incentive and training programs.
