Five startups from Pernambuco and one from São Paulo were selected

 

The accelerator Jump Brasil, linked to the Recife technology park Porto Digital, announced the startups chosen for its first acceleration class. There are five companies: Teslabit, Epitrack, Archimedes, Fast and Clapme.
 
To reach the result, representatives of Porto Digital, Instituto Talento Brasil (ITB) and investors attended pitches of the 14 pre-selected startups. Pedro Souza, manager of the accelerator, explains that "each of the companies had 10 minutes to talk about their product to a panel with the Jump and ITB team". Afterwards, the investors quizzed each team for another 15 minutes.
 
According to Souza, the aspects observed by the bank to make the decision were: the innovation of the solution presented, the business model, the size of the market, the expected return and the team's ability to execute.

The accelerator's manager adds: "Of the five companies selected, we have solutions that attack interesting markets such as energy, health, productivity, education and entertainment. by choosing to be accelerated in Recife".

Teslabit (Pernambuco): complete energy management service. It provides, in real time, all the data related to the energy consumed.

epitrack (Pernambuco): healthcare startup, such as epidemiological surveillance on mobile devices, digital disease detection and training for epidemiologists.

Archimedes (Pernambuco): integrated and complete assessment system for faculties and schools. It focuses on developing integrated and contextualized assessments to guide student and educational institution development.

fast (Pernambuco): company specialized in software development for various platforms and also in innovation management consulting.

clamp (São Paulo): platform for online broadcasting of shows that has 100,000 registered users, of which 10,000 are artists and bands.

Porto Digital is one of the pillars of the new economy of the State of Pernambuco, with 200 companies that earned an average of R$ 1 billion (2010) and employ more than 6,500 people. Its activities are highly intensive in knowledge and innovation, which are information and communication technology software and services and creative economy, especially in the segments of games, multimedia, cine-video-animation, music, design and photography, in addition to advertising and publicity. Considered a reference in the implementation of the 'triple helix' model, Porto Digital is the result of a coordinated action between companies, government and academia, which resulted, after 10 years of its foundation (2000), in one of the main innovation environments of the Parents.
