ABES director participates in the Quality & Competitiveness Seminar

 

Jamile Sabatini Marques, director of innovation and development at ABES, presented the lecture “Competitiveness from the perspective of actions developed in the city” during the 24th edition of the Competitiveness & Quality Seminar, held on July 9, 2018, at the Chamber of Industry , Commerce and Services of Caxias do Sul (CIC), in Rio Grande Sul. She shared the debate table with Ivanir Gasparian, president of the CIC; Emílio Andreazza, representative of the Municipality of Caxias do Sul; Edson da Rosa, representative of the city council; and Roberto Boniatti, from the University of Caxias do Sul.

This year, the central theme of the seminar was “The search for essence as a basis for business competitiveness”. “Due to the economic moment, the focus on competitiveness has proved to be imperative. To reach a competitive level, it is necessary to work on themes that promote the development of the region”, explained the coordinator of the CIC's Development and Competitiveness Directorate, Gilnei Lafuente, responsible for organizing the event.
 
Innovation in entrepreneurship, management and governance models, new business models and quality and people management were some of the issues addressed. Among the speakers on the day were: Leonardo Wengrover, from the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC), and Daniel Randon, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gaucho Quality and Productivity Program (PGQP).
