THE Jamef Transportes, with more than 60 years of commitment to excellence, has recently elevated its approach to risk management, internal controls and auditing. The company, which values its close relationships, trust in commitments, solid partnerships and investments in innovation, found in its 10-year partnership with Digital Quality the ideal tool to integrate and improve your processes.
Before implementing the solution, Jamef was looking for an efficient way to integrate risk management, controls and auditing, aiming for a solution that integrated with ACL (continuous audit software) for risk monitoring. The objective was to create a panel of indicators that would provide a timely view of risks, promoting greater engagement with business areas.
The solution came with the Highbond tool, sold by Diligent, leading SaaS company for GRC (governance, risk and compliance) and implemented by Quality Digital. Familiarity with ACL was a starting point, but the excellent cost-benefit of the Highbond tool solidified the choice decision. “Jamef adopted a comprehensive process, mapping and evaluating impact, probability and level of risk. With analysis and prioritization based on criticality, we define a risk portfolio, creating a risk panel with a robust protection system”, explains Eduardo Silva, Compliance and Risk Management Manager at Jamef Transportes.
The numbers speak for themselves, there was an increase of 30% in adherence to risk management, control and auditing, the executive highlights that “today the management and mapping of 160 risks are carried out by just one employee, and a process that previously took 1 week , today it is done in just 4 hours”, informs Silva.
Despite the improvements, the process encountered challenges, which were overcome throughout the process, including the definition of risk panel indicators, approval of the methodology for monitoring and bonus payments, and the construction of a risk management culture in the face of competing activities of executives.
“Quality Digital’s service was very good. The ease of integration of the tool, combined with exceptional support, provided greater engagement in Risk Management, aligning with the company's strategy”, highlights the executive.
Jamef Transportes' success in the GRC journey, according to Eduardo Silva, reflects not only in impressive numbers, but in the strategic alignment, the robust risk panel, the integrated GRC system, and the indicators incorporated into the goals. “The first year already records a notable increase of 30% in executives’ adherence to the risk management process, marking a significant chapter in the company’s continuous evolution”, adds Silva.
By choosing Quality Digital as a partner, Jamef Transportes not only met its immediate needs, but also established the foundations for agile, precise risk management aligned with strategic objectives, preparing to face future challenges with confidence and innovation.
