The first edition of the IoT Business Forum, which has the institutional support of ABES, will take place on December 6, from 9 am to 6 pm, at the WTC Events Center, in São Paulo. Panels and lectures will be presented that talk about the use of the Internet of Things in various sectors such as connectivity, industry, logistics, transport and startups.
 
The first panel of the day will be at 9:00 am and will have the theme “Challenges, business models, market, regulatory and legal scenario in IoT”, with panelists: Irecê Kauss Loureiro, from the Department of Information and Communication Technology, from BNDES; Patrícia Ellen, from McKinsey consultancy, Guilherme de Paula Corrêa, Infrastructure analyst at the Telecommunications Department of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications and Eduardo Peixoto, business executive at CESAR, in Recife.
 
Another panel that deserves attention is “Connected Car, Transport, Logistics” at 2:20 pm, in which the following will participate: the person responsible for Axway's operations in Brazil and Latin America (BMW case), Marcelo Ramos; the CEO and founder of Kanamobi, Cristiano Kanashiro; Zazcar's CTO, Bernardo Mazzini; and HERE Account Manager Nancy Marton. The discussion will be how the IoT will enable the integration of the automobile industry, fleet transport, signage, tolls, weather forecasting, traffic, and connection with other vehicles.
 
In addition to the panels, the event will have a separate room dedicated to business lectures. The main topics will be: Smart Agriculture – The importance of IoT for Agribusiness; How to monetize IoT solutions; IoT and the new business models for the physical world; IoT applied to physical retail; Smart Home, among others.
