SP Negócios, a city hall company that promotes business and investments in the capital of São Paulo and Investe São Paulo, an investment promotion agency of the State Government, launched the São Paulo Tech Week on September 24th. Buscapé hosted the ceremony, held at the company's headquarters.
 
São Paulo Tech Week (SPTW) is a movement that will bring together, between November 3rd and 9th, initiatives and events related to technology and innovation in different parts of the city.
 
“São Paulo is one of the main innovation ecosystems in the world, bringing together international investors, large companies in the sector, creative spaces and world-class talent. SPTW aims to celebrate and enhance this whole environment of innovation that is already taking place in São Paulo”, said the president of SP Negócios, Rodrigo Pirajá Wienskoski.
 
The company is a mixed capital company linked to the Municipal Finance and Economic Development Department. SP Negócios has promoted initiatives to stimulate the sector through Tech Sampa – Municipal innovation stimulus policy. During the launch, the company's presentations were made by Beatriz Gusmão, business director, and Michel Porcino, director's advisor.
 
“The information and communication technology sector is a priority for us, because it generates innovation, qualified jobs and diversifies the economy”, explained the president of Investe São Paulo, Juan Quirós.
 
The investment promotion agency is linked to the Secretariat for Development in Technology and Innovation and has the support of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) in a project to attract foreign investors in this sector.
 
More than 20 events are already confirmed, bringing together partnerships with entities such as ABStartups, SebraeSP, Apex-Brasil itself, among other companies and associations related to technology and innovation. Among those already confirmed are CASE – Annual Conference of Startups, the largest startup event in Latin America, the Wearable Festival, which brings new technologies to fashion, in addition to the Samsung Ocean Dev Week, Demoday of Startup Brasil, Health Summit, Demo Brasil , X-Drones, Hackaton Extreme, SP Fintech Summit, among others. More than 20,000 people are expected to participate, including the presence of international delegations.
