Organized by INTERLINK Exhibitions and the IMAM Group, the first edition of INTRA-LOG Expo South America will be held from September 3 to 5, 2024, at Expo Center Norte (São Paulo), focusing on new technologies, equipment and solutions for movement of materials.

São Paulo will host the largest b2b event in September focusing on the universe of intralogistics and automation. O INTRA-LOG Expo South America – International Intralogistics and Automation Fair and Forum, will be held from September 3rd to 5th, at Expo Center Norte (Yellow Pavilion), in São Paulo. It is organized by INTERLINK Exhibitions and the IMAM Group, responsible for creating the largest fair in this sector in the past. ABES is a supporter of the event and offers members the possibility of being exhibitors at the INTRA-LOG Expo at discount.

The logistics sector continues to be the protagonist of one of the most dizzying growth in recent times. According to data collected by Transparency Market Research, the global logistics market in 2023 handled more than 92 billion tons of materials, with strong emphasis on the impact of e-commerce in terms of transacted volumes, reaching more than R$15 trillion. And the projections are even more encouraging: the global logistics market could reach more than US$16 trillion by 2032.

It is in this context that the INTRA-LOG Expo South America is inserted when bringing together the Intralogistics 4.0 and Automation 4.0, with the integration of different technologies and systems, from the management and movement of materials within a company or organization, incorporating internal logistical processes, such as receiving raw materials and distributing finished products, to application technologies and automated systems to optimize and speed up these processes.

Research carried out over the last 10 years by IMAM Consultoria shows that around 25% of operational costs in supply chains go through intralogistics. The 100% operations, automated with autonomous and/or hybrid systems, are already present in many companies in Brazil, generally large and medium-sized, but are also beginning to gain space in medium-sized and small companies through economically viable initiatives.

Innovate in Logistics

With this reality in place, the organization of the internal logistics flow gained a strategic role with the accelerated expansion of the e-commerce and the multiplication of types of distribution channels. The explosion of sales online associated with the need to diversify and modernize inventory management make it increasingly strategic for companies to structure processes, with the support of more assertive technology solutions from the point of view of predictability and resource control. Furthermore, innovations in the sector are taking great strides, such as the adoption of Artificial Intelligence applications and data analysis.

“The numbers in this sector are impressive and the moment could not be more opportune for INTERLINK Exhibitions and the IMAM Group to join forces to create the only and most complete event in the intralogistics and automation sector in the country”, comments the Managing Director of INTERLINK Exhibitions, Cassiano Facchinetti.

“After years in charge of traditional events for the logistics and cargo transportation sector, we are certain that the intralogistics and automation sector needs an exclusive, strong event focused on new technologies. This is the mission of INTRA-LOG Expo South America”, highlights Joris van Wijk, Managing Partner at INTERLINK Exhibitions, who dedicated part of his career to developing major events for important segments of the economy.

Exhibition, forum and business

The objective of the organizers of INTRA-LOG Expo South America is to bring together national and international exhibitors to demonstrate the newest technologies and innovative solutions in use around the world. This is one of the challenges of internal logistics 4.0, which includes all handling, movement, storage and packaging of materials, in addition to advanced technologies, such as softwares sophisticated, robotics, integrated systems, among others, for the entire supply chain.

These technologies enable the improvement of the management of production and storage operations, the integration between the company's various departments and the digital flow of information, the development and implementation of softwares specific solutions, as well as solutions to optimize the dynamics of storage processes, considering layout and management, automation of internal transport to speed up cargo processing, the adoption of collaborative robotics, among other steps.

The event will bring together buyers, specifiers and influencers from a wide range of sectors, from the manufacturing industry to e-commerce and retail, bringing together professionals interested in making their operations more efficient, with reduced costs and gains in scale.

Among the already confirmed exhibitors, companies such as Combilift, Águia Sistemas, Bertolini, CD Embalagens, Tailtec/Docktec, ISMA, Portiliotti, Longa, Saur, Scheffer Logística, Innovatech and Sparkag, Kraftone, among others. The event also has strategic support from ABIMAQ (Brazilian Association of the Machinery and Equipment Industry) and ABOL (Brazilian Association of Logistics Operators), in addition to institutional support from ABES (Brazilian Association of Software Companies) and ABCOMM (Brazilian Association of Electronic Commerce).

The founder of the IMAM Group and now advisor to INTRA-LOG Expo, Reinaldo Moura, highlights that the demand for updating, technical content and professional relationships are increasingly essential for the market. “INTRA-LOG Expo South America will, in a short space of time, be the new national and international reference for intralogistics and automation events in Latin America, because the solutions become much more easily viable when integrated, and we can count on this to the extent that we see all the equipment that will be present at the event”, he adds.

The director of the IMAM Group and INTRA-LOG Expo ambassador, Eduardo Banzato, believes that the various operations in Brazil and Latin America, as well as professionals in the sector, are already international references, but that they need to democratize their best practices and references. “Over the last four decades, knowing hundreds of companies in Brazil and comparing them with operations and solutions on five continents, it is clear that there is great potential for investment in intralogistics and automation for Brazil and Latin America.”

About the Forum
