SentinelOne guarantees up to one million dollars against ransomware attacks for customers using SentinelOne Endpoint Protection, a solution that brings together in a single platform attack prevention, detection and response, using AI and machine learning

CLM, a value-added distributor in Latin America, and Israel's SentinelOne, one of the first companies to use artificial intelligence to protect workstations, announce a guarantee of up to 1 million dollars, in case their customers suffer a ransomware attack (hackers hijack data and demand payment of ransom in cryptocurrencies). This type of guarantee is already offered abroad by SentinelOne and the company is proud that it has never had to honor it, due to the cyber security offered by its solution.

It is worth mentioning that this insurance is sui generis, as it financially supports the company victim of a ransomware attack, so that, in extreme cases, it needs to cover any penalties, data recovery costs and financial losses. “It is important to point out that dealing with this type of cybercriminal is not recommended, so having SentinelOne’s technical guarantee and insurance is essential, as the methodologies and technologies applied by hackers are becoming more sophisticated”, comments the Director of the Data Protection Unit. from CLM, Marcelo Lanzuolo.

Lanzuolo explains that “in the initial phase of launching in Brazil, the cost of this insurance, of up to one million dollars, will be paid by CLM, maintaining the normal price of SentinelOne licenses”. This guarantee covers data redemptions of up to one million dollars, thousand dollars per protected workstation.

Check out the differences:

The SentinelOne Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP), with artificial intelligence, machine learning, analyzes behavior and protects workstations and servers, against all types of attacks, viruses, phishing, malware, ransomware, working even on equipment disconnected from the internet, with complete confidence, against new and future attacks, however sophisticated.

• Unlike traditional antivirus, where the manufacturer identifies an attacker or attacker, creates its signature, and updates all antivirus sold, SentinelOne works with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and identifies, by itself, changes in the behavior of workstations , servers and network, and blocks the attack.

• It makes a defense called Zero Day, it doesn't need the manufacturer to identify the new virus, or create a vaccine.

• In addition, as you do not need to access the huge database of attacks and attackers via the Internet, at the antivirus software manufacturer's headquarters, its operation is automatic. Even without an internet connection, SentinelOne's system remains active and evolving.

“Ransomware attacks have evolved rapidly and with each new variant they are more aggressive, which requires companies to have intelligence in the layers of protection, endpoint protection technologies with artificial intelligence, capable of evolving, learning the behavior of the internal network and responding more effective to these attacks”, adds Lanzuolo.

According to the distributor's director, the attacks always start on a workstation connected to the internal network and which is a victim of a phishing attack, which traditional antivirus solutions do not detect. “We created a hotsite for our customers to know the details of this protection: http://go.clm.com.br/ransomware”, he informs.

About SentinelOne

SentinelOne was founded in 2013 by a group of cybersecurity experts who developed a fundamentally innovative approach to endpoint protection. SentinelOne unifies prevention, detection and response on a single platform, powered by Machine Learning and Intelligent Automation. Unlike other systems, SentinelOne does not rely on centralized virus identification and signature availability to function. It detects malicious behavior across all attack vectors, quickly eliminates and remediates threats with built-in, fully automated response capabilities, and adapts your defenses against the most advanced cyberattacks.
