Research by Sage reveals that Brazilians are the most receptive to adopting AI and bots to control tasks and activities

A survey carried out by Sage, a leader in business management and accounting systems, shows that 64% of Brazilian entrepreneurs see artificial intelligence as the main technological trend. Brazilians are ahead of other entrepreneurs in the world (58%).

In addition to reducing errors and shortening deadlines, artificial intelligence facilitates decision-making from a volume of data that a human professional would hardly be able to encompass.

For this, the programs use the same language as conventional systems, but with a different logic. In some cases, the intelligent system works with simple logic – if the question is x, the answer is y. In other cases, such as studies in neural networks, the machine tries to reproduce the logic of human thought in which information is transmitted from one cell to another, combining data to find a solution. “Brazilian entrepreneurs see in artificial intelligence the opportunity to positively change the way countless tasks are done, optimizing time and providing efficiency”, says Jorge Santos Carneiro, president of Sage Brazil and Latin America.

Also according to the survey, most Brazilians (66%) see the benefits of using artificial intelligence and bots in organizing their professional and business lives. Worldwide, this average drops to 47%, demonstrating greater fear on the part of entrepreneurs when it comes to including new technologies in their work routine.

The so-called Chatbots, or simply Bots, are increasingly present in the daily lives of companies. Through these robots, it is possible to perform certain functions without the need to download or install an application. This is because bots work as situation-specific assistants, “translating” the conversation into natural language between a user and an application. By talking to him, entrepreneurs can, for example, issue an invoice quickly and simply. Through a chat, the user informs the requested data and the virtual assistant is able to interpret the information and then generate the note.

The survey was conducted in 19 countries, with 5,500 entrepreneurs. In Brazil, around 530 businessmen were interviewed, most of them between 30 and 44 years old.
