Intel Brasil and FAPESP (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo) continue the history of partnership between the institutions and launch a new call for proposals to support research on new approaches to the use of Field Programmable Gate Arrays ( FPGAs or “Field Programmable Gate Array”) in security and cryptography and associated domains.

The idea of the proposal is to provide an opportunity for researchers to explore and propose innovative ways to improve safety by taking advantage of the benefits offered by FPGAs, taking into account that they have a significant and positive impact in areas such as Automotive, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles/ Drones, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and Data Centers.

Proponents must clearly state the problems and opportunities to be addressed and the potential impact if the investigation is successful. They are also encouraged to work with Intel platforms to optimize results.

The official launch of the call was on the 24th of July and proposals will be accepted until the 11th of October. The call is open to researchers from public or private teaching and research institutions in the State of São Paulo.

Additional requirements, conditions and restrictions of the FAPESP Cooperative Research Program for Technological Innovation (PITE) and documents required for registration are at www.fapesp.br/sage. The official call for proposals can be checked at www.fapesp.br/11115.
