We are following the digital transformation and watching more and more things being connected. This evolution creates quite heterogeneous environments, formed by different technologies, with different functions developed by different manufacturers.

The security environment is also quite diverse. Currently, many consoles are needed to manage various functionalities. This scenario ends up creating loopholes, as the solutions do not exchange information between themselves, isolated protection silos do not share threat information, and this can result in a successful attack.

Adding more products is not the way to solve the problem, we need to simplify. Integration between countermeasures has become essential in security, they must work together and share information so that the fight against threats is more efficient. With an integrated environment, it is possible to recognize a threat that arrived by email or flash drive, involve all solutions, share data and block the threat at all points, all of which can happen in a few seconds.

The idea of integration is not new, but the scenario is different now. The current model is very difficult to manage since it involves many technologies, and this only tends to increase. Corporate security environments are growing and increasingly demanding personnel for administration and operation. And with the Internet of Things, the security dimension will become huge.

With so many things connected, it will be impossible to have enough professionals to meet the demand, analyze alerts, have visibility and control of the entire environment. In addition to the constant increase in cyber threats, the deficit of available IT professionals will also increase in the coming years.

In view of this scenario, it is unquestionably necessary to automate processes. With more intelligence involved it will be possible to use fewer resources and deliver more and in less time. Instead of layers of protection, it is necessary to think of a platform capable of integrating all solutions and centralizing management, in order to benefit the management of security and the business itself.

With an open platform, it will be possible to enable the integration of not only security solutions, but other business applications, including non-computer devices, ensuring more visibility and control of the entire environment.

The technology market is constantly changing, cybercriminals develop new threats every day and you need to keep up to date to keep up with this evolution, fight threats and keep your data safe. With the increasing complexity of threats and technologies, it is inevitable that the future will take us to a point where integration is paramount for business continuity.
