Program will encourage technological innovation projects with up to R$ 25 thousand
 
Applications to participate in the Vai Tec Program and receive an incentive of up to R$ 25 thousand to develop technological innovation projects will be open from February 2nd. The program is part of the Tech Sampa policy to support innovation, especially in the area of information technology.
 
Vai Tec wants to stimulate new ideas for products, processes, applications, games, techniques or methodologies. It is the first stage of the strategy developed by the City Hall for the development of startups in the city, companies originated from an innovative idea and seeking a profitable business model.
 
To apply, it is necessary to fill out an electronic form and send digital documentation on the São Paulo Development Agency website (http://adesampa.com.br/). Applications will be held from February 2 to April 30. Each applicant can propose up to five projects, in more than one area.
 
Among the possibilities of projects are solutions to problems and challenges related to the daily life of the population of the capital. The development of new solutions in the areas of solidarity and collaborative economy, water and energy, education, public management, food and nutrition security, support for micro-entrepreneurship, health, urban environment and waste recycling, culture, sustainable local development will be encouraged. , social assistance, human rights, work, urban mobility, assistive technology, social communication and citizenship.
 
According to the program's public notice, it is important that the proposals are related to cross-cutting themes of gender, ethnic-racial, people with disabilities, young people and the elderly. In the public notice document, suggestions on topics are listed, such as popular finance, reuse of rainwater, use of new technologies for the education of young people or processes for optimizing service to citizens by the government. Proposals must also be concerned with accessibility and universal design.
 
Individuals aged 14 or over and legal entities, such as micro-enterprises, individual micro-entrepreneurs and cooperatives, can apply for projects. People must live in São Paulo for at least two years and companies must be headquartered in the capital for the same period.
 
Evaluation

Projects must be completed within one year and must have a detailed schedule and budget. The proposals will be selected by a commission with members of the city hall and people appointed by the Municipal Council of Science, Technology and Innovation. Information and communication technology projects will have an increase of 10 points. Projects that achieve a score higher than 60 points will be classified and receive incentives for up to 60 projects. The result will be announced from the 1st of July.
