Liga Ventures - an accelerator specializing in generating business between startups and large corporations - has just opened registration for the third acceleration cycle of the Emerging Technologies League (https://liga.ventures/emerging-tech/), an open innovation program that will prospect, select and accelerate startups together with large companies. For this new round of acceleration, the vertical will once again count on the partnership of TIVIT - a Brazilian multinational of digital solutions with operations in ten countries in Latin America - and Cateno - a joint venture between Banco do Brasil and Cielo, which connects and analyzes processes, data and people. The big news in this cycle is the arrival of new important partners: Banco do Brasil - one of the largest financial institutions in Latin America - and Grupo Boticário - one of the largest beauty groups in the world, a reference in the multi-brand and multichannel strategy.
According to Rogério Tamassia, co-founder of Liga Ventures, the program is a great opportunity for these large companies to have access to startups that are developing technologies with the potential to create or transform the business environment in the coming years.
Liga Emerging Technologies Acceleration Program
The selection process will include the following steps: registration, interviews and pitches for the executives of Liga Ventures and the four partner corporations. The chosen startups will undergo a 4-month acceleration process - starting in March 2020 - in which they will have direct contact with executives from Banco do Brasil, Cateno, Grupo Boticário and TIVIT in order to explore synergies and business opportunities, in addition to the entire monitoring of the Liga Ventures team and access to an extensive network of mentors, partners and potential investors.
In the previous cycles, 10 startups were accelerated, including the Sentimonitor - Big Data Analytics platform, which generates strategic and commercial insights through data from social networks, websites, and other open information sources, in addition to risk and fraud analysis - and the Swipe - startup that provides the tools to make financial solutions more efficient using Blockchain and DLT networks.
