Registrations open for agribusiness startups pitch at InovaCampinas

Startups focused on the agribusiness value chain, the so-called “AgTechs”, will be able to pitch their businesses during the Mais Valor Agro conference, which will be held on October 24 during InovaCampinas 2018, at Expo D. Pedro. Applications for companies continue until October 1st and can be made on here.
 
The objective of this activity is to present innovative solutions for agribusiness to the market, which have been created by startups, thus fostering new businesses, partnerships and projects. In all, six startups will be selected by the organizing committee, based on the analysis of the application form. The chosen companies will have five minutes each to present their products to the public present, which includes businessmen, investors, entrepreneurs, researchers, etc. The activity is organized by Embrapa Informática Agropecuária and the Agronomic Institute (IAC).
 
“We want to propose a networking environment and connect the different actors in this sector so that they can learn about what has been done and produced in an innovative way in agribusiness”, says the general head of Embrapa Informática Agropecuária, Silvia Massruhá.
 
This is the first time that InovaCampinas will have a conference focused on agribusiness in its schedule. Mais Valor Agro is part of the “Agro” Trail and provides for a broad debate on the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation in the countryside and the aggregation of value in agriculture. The conference will highlight the sector's innovations with the aim of bringing together different audiences of interest in this area. For this, panels with specialists and representatives of the productive sector are planned. The first panel will discuss the challenges and opportunities of Agriculture 4.0 and the second panel proposes a debate on Adding Value in Agriculture.
 
“This will be an opportunity to discuss the trends and opportunities that have been created for innovation in the field. Certainly, the participation of startups will be fundamental to propose new ways to channel these technologies to the sector”, said Sérgio Augusto Morais Carbonell, director general of the IAC.
