Registration for the second Acceleration Cycle of InovAtiva Brasil 2016 has been extended. Startups across the country have until Sunday (July 3) to register for one of the 300 vacancies in the largest and most comprehensive mentoring and training program for entrepreneurs in the country. InovAtiva Brasil is open to innovative business startups from all sectors and regions of the country.
MDIC's Secretary of Innovation and New Business, Marcos Vinícius de Souza, highlighted that this is the first year that InovAtiva has carried out two acceleration cycles in the same year. “It is a great challenge to carry out a program of this scale, to accelerate up to 600 startups in the same year. We focus a lot on the quality of the selected companies, only with high-level startups do we guarantee the voluntary participation of mentors”, he said. Souza recalled that, in addition to the tripod training, mentoring and connection that those selected receive during the Acceleration Cycle, InovAtiva has been expanding partnerships to offer more benefits to startups after passing through the program.
On the last 18th, at the opening of the Cycle 2016.1 regional Bootcamp, the technical director of Sebrae Nacional, Heloisa Menezes, announced a benefit under the Sebrae Innovation Announcement, which will be launched in early July: 10% bonus on project evaluation for InovAtiva startups. “R$ will be R$ 20 million destined as a subsidy for innovative projects of micro and small companies across the country”, he highlighted. This year, partnerships were signed in this regard with the companies Facebook, Exact Sales and Contentools, in addition to those that already exist with SENAI, within the scope of the SENAI Innovation Public Notice, and BNDES, for the MSME Innovative financing line.
