Program offers training, mentoring and connection with potential investors

The Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services (MDIC) will begin registration next week for the InovAtiva Brasil program, which offers mentoring and acceleration of startups free of charge.

The program offers 300 vacancies for training, mentoring and connecting with potential investors. Applications open until February 20 on the website. http://www.inovativabrasil.com.br/.

InovAtiva Brasil is carried out by the Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services (MDIC) and by Sebrae, with execution by the CERTI Foundation.

In 2016, the program selected 600 startups for two acceleration cycles. MDIC's Secretary of Innovation and New Business, Marcos Vinícius de Souza, explains that the expectation for this year is for advances in the program, which already offers training in innovative entrepreneurship. “Entrepreneurs will present their projects to experienced executives, with additional advantages, such as possible partners and even support for the internationalization of projects”, says Marcos Vinícius.

For the president of Sebrae, Guilherme Afif, the great diversity of businesses accelerated by the program gives visibility to entrepreneurship in Brazil. “In 2016, we had 600 companies accelerated in the most diverse segments of the economy. This reinforces that innovation is everywhere and should be encouraged, especially to ensure the competitiveness of small businesses”, evaluated the president of Sebrae.
