Ingram Micro Brasil starts 2019 with news for its reseller network. The subsidiary of the world's largest IT distributor and Sony have just signed a partnership and, from now on, the entire PlayStation family, including video game consoles, accessories and games, are available to the channel.
 
The video game industry is one of the most promising. According to Newzoo, this market must have closed 2018 with a global turnover of more than US$ 125 billion and, in 2020, it should reach US$143.5 billion. “Brazil is the main market for digital games in Latin America and the fourth in the world in consumption of this technology, with 3.4 million players and movement of US$ 1.5 billion. With our distribution expertise and PlayStation products, we are confident that we will contribute to an even better movement,” comments Sandra Fantoni, Marketing/C&C Product Director at Ingram Micro.
 
Ingram Micro's expectations for the partnership are very positive. “PlayStation revolutionized the entertainment industry and is one of the most important in the history of games. The PS4 alone has sold over 86 million units. Now, with Ingram Micro's capillarity, we are confident that we will further increase our market share in Brazil”, says Sandra. “In addition to the specialty stores, Ingram Micro will help Sony reach other points of sale that do not work with games and supply places with limited access to the products”, he concludes.
