Agreement includes the distribution of the entire portfolio and the GDPR solution

Ingram Micro Brasil, a subsidiary of one of the main global IT distributors, and Hitachi Vantara have just announced a distribution agreement for all products and solutions of the company that was created in 2017, from the union of Hitachi Data Systems, Hitachi Insight and Pentaho, and today it is one of the strongest players in digital transformation.

Among the highlights already available to Ingram Micro resellers in Brazil is Hitachi Smart Spaces and Video Analitycs, which collects, unifies and combines video data for companies to become more efficient and offer smarter and safer services, and data governance, which help companies comply with the rules of the General Data Protection Law, in force from August 2020.

“The interesting thing about the Hitachi portfolio is that all solutions are interconnected and we will be able to serve all verticals”, says Roberto Gero, product director at Ingram Micro Brasil. In addition, Gero recalls the proven efficiency of Hitachi Vantara solutions. “In addition to the brand's famous storages, Smart Spaces solutions, for example, allowed people to be counted in the Superbowl final, in the USA, in just one and a half minutes”, he says. The solution is also used in Las Vegas to obtain data on bicycle, car and pedestrian traffic, in addition to acting in public safety. The director of Ingram Micro Brasil also mentions Hitachi Vantara's LGPD solution, which allows companies to comply with the new Brazilian data regulation.

With the partnership, Hitachi Vantara expects to achieve the level of growth planned for the next five years. “We want to expand the business throughout the Brazilian territory and take Hitachi to a higher level in offering solutions for the most diverse market segments”, says Erico Guessi, Senior Manager of Alliances at Hitachi Vantara.

The plan is to bring innovative technology so that companies can take advantage of the most modern in the world in data storage, industrial automation, IoT and digital transformation, and Ingram Micro will be fundamental in this process.

“Ingram's sales infrastructure was one of the essential points for its choice as a Hitachi Vantara distributor in Brazil. Teams with more than 150 salespeople, a dedicated account management throughout the national territory and marketing support are differentials that Hitachi Vantara needs for its indirect sales strategy”, concludes Guessi.
