Ingram Micro announced the appointment of Welington Sousa as its new Chief Marketing Officer for Latin America, helping to strengthen the company’s leadership in the industry and the region. Sousa, who successfully led the company’s marketing strategy in Brazil, assumes a broader role in which he will lead an integrated vision that amplifies the company’s brand and aligns global strategies with local market dynamics to drive sustainable growth in the region.
This appointment underscores Ingram Micro’s commitment to aligning the expertise of its business partners in the region, building a strong channel community in Latin America that helps accelerate business growth. Sousa will continue to drive the Ingram Micro Xvantage™ platform through a unified digital marketing strategy in countries dedicated to each manufacturer’s needs.
In this role, Sousa reports directly to Luis Férez, senior vice president and president of Ingram Micro for Latin America. “Welington is a leader with an exemplary track record and deep knowledge of the Latin American market. His ability to innovate, drive results and lead high-performance teams has been instrumental in Ingram Micro Brazil and we are confident that his vision will be instrumental in consolidating a solid regional marketing strategy,” said Férez.

With over 20 years of industry experience, Sousa has developed a track record of excellence in the areas of Marketing, Customer Experience, Business Intelligence and Digital Strategy. Since joining Ingram Micro in 2018, he has been a key driver of the company’s digital transformation in Brazil, leading the transition from a traditional marketing model to a more digital and results-oriented approach. His efforts have also included implementing high-impact, replicable models that have become benchmarks across the region and strengthening relationships with the channel network through data-driven strategies and customer experience. His leadership and innovation have earned him recognition as “Best Marketing Professional” on three occasions, including twice by the Brazilian Electronic Commerce Association (ABComm). Sousa’s new role represents a strategic step in the evolution of the company’s regional value proposition.
