Indra has signed a new contract with KPLC (Kenya Power & Lighting Company), a power company from Kenya, to implement InCMS, a management technology aimed at energy companies. The scope foresees an evolution in the existing system at KPLC with advanced technologies with regard to mobility, multi-channel self-service solutions and customer information. To meet this demand, Indra will implement its InGRID WFM (Work Force Management) system, developed at Indra's Center for Excellence in energy solutions, located in Campinas (SP).

The InCMS solution allows you to automate and optimize the entire commercial cycle of electricity, gas and water companies (reading, billing, collection and integral customer management). In addition, it facilitates the management of contracting and requests through virtual channels, streamlining decision making and establishing improvements in the quality of customer service, with new channels and shorter waiting times. The InGRID WFM (Work Force Management) system allows automated management, via mobile devices, of orders for the installation and change of meters, cuts and reconnections due to non-payment and inspections, among other services.

The new customer service channels, such as an online self-service application, application for mobile devices and interactive kiosks within the central KPLC offices are part of this solution provided by Indra. Through this, consumers will be able to consult information about their contracts, balances or prepaid purchases, request new supplies and duplicate invoices and make complaints.

Indra has been dedicated to developing solutions for the energy sector for over 20 years. In Brazil, more than 40 companies have adopted their technologies. The company maintains in Campinas one of its nine Software Labs for energy technologies. The avant-garde solution of this Center of Excellence is InGRID (Indra Smartgrids), which allows companies to intelligently and effectively manage the operation and maintenance of their distribution networks. IWFM is one of the modules that make up inGRID.

Indra's solutions for energy and utilities have already been deployed in more than 140 electricity, water, oil and gas companies in more than 45 countries. Currently, more than 100 million customers worldwide are managed by the systems developed by the company.
