Indra, one of the world's leading global technology and consulting companies, developed all the technology of Wilobank, Argentina's first digital 100% bank. The project, developed in record time, is based on the methodology developed by Minsait (the company's digital transformation unit) which is based on four key concepts: maximum customization, simplicity of use, service agility and scalability.

This combination results in a solid banking platform, available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, whose purpose is to make Wilobank a reference in customer relationships through the digital environment. With no physical branches, the institution must ensure that any user can register via cell phone safely and in a few minutes.

“Wilobank is a 21st century bank for 21st century customers. Without legacy technologies or acquired commitments, an efficient, safe bank that allows you to carry out all types of operations from your cell phone. The combination of Indra's leadership in providing technological solutions for financial services and in digital transformation allows us to achieve this success and enables us to create other banks from scratch with the most advanced technologies and agile methodologies”, points out Borja Ochoa, global director of Indra Financial Services.

To ensure agility for Wilobank customers, Indra implemented an online registration solution at the institution, previously successfully used by Bankia, the fourth largest financial institution in Spain, with 8.1 million customers. In addition to implementing the technology, the consultancy will be responsible for maintaining and updating the technology over time.

In parallel, the consultancy developed advanced cybersecurity and biometric solutions, whose focus is to guarantee clients a secure process and automatically identify possible fraud attempts. In this way, they can carry out various financial activities from the comfort of their mobile phone with the same guarantees as an operation carried out in a physical branch.

“In a very short period of time, marked by close collaboration with Indra, we obtained approval from the Central Bank, laid the foundations for the first digital bank in Argentina, passed the final inspection and started operating on June 30 this year. Although it seems simple, it was an arduous and complex task in which many people worked in Madrid, Buenos Aires and other cities around the world. We established a relationship with Indra and started a path, which we hope will be long and lasting, in which we will develop all the necessary improvements and innovations so that the common dream of building a bank as a tool for inclusion and social development in our country becomes a reality. ”, says Gullermo Francos, president of Wilobank.
