O National Institute of Telecommunications – Inatel, a reference center for teaching, research and technology development, announces the launch of the Pan-American Practical Training Program with a lato sensu postgraduate degree in Network Engineering and Telecommunications Systems. In collaboration with the Huawei, a global leader in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions, the course will offer 12 100% scholarships for professionals who have already completed higher education in technological areas.
Structure and selection
Scheduled to begin on July 1, 2024, the training will last 14 months, ending in August 2025. Classes will be taught in person at the Inatel campus, in Santa Rita do Sapucaí, Minas Gerais, twice a week, at night time. . Participants will also be able to engage in practical daytime activities under the supervision of Institute professionals, receiving a grant, in addition to the free lato sensu course. The criteria for selecting scholarship holders will give preference to those who can work in person but, depending on the profile of those enrolled, students may be included in a remote format.
Interested candidates could register until June 17. The selection will be based on a curriculum analysis, availability of schedules and knowledge of Spanish. Those selected will be announced by June 24th.

The partnership between Inatel and Huawei, consolidated over more than 20 years, reflects the mutual commitment to promoting knowledge and training qualified professionals in Brazil. “We are confident that this postgraduate program will provide high quality and relevant training, essential for the development of specialized professionals in the sector”, says Mário Ferreira, Executive Manager of the Skills and Innovation Development Center (CIDC) at Inatel .

The new program aims to train high-level professionals, prepared to meet the demands of the telecommunications market. By offering robust and practical training, Inatel and Huawei hope to train professionals who can significantly contribute to digital transformation and technological development in large companies in the sector.
