With more than 15 years of history, Preditiva is a national reference in electricity analysis. iN2 specializes in cloud-based software. In partnership, the two companies pooled their knowledge to develop the Electric Telemetry system, a technology that until then was indispensable in the current model of electricity pricing in Brazil, directly contributing to the quality and reduction of effective energy consumption in industry and commerce.
Solution
Predictive Telemetry uses the intelligent transmission of data by cell phone chip. One of the characteristics of the technology is the term “empowerment”, which means to give power to the user. Specifically in telemetry, this power is directly related to management, decision making and control of energy consumption, demands, power factor, generators, among others. In Brazil, only corporate clients or large institutions enjoy these benefits.
This project proposes to benefit all customers classified as group A, that is, consumers served at high voltage, above 2300 volts, with the characteristics of "empowerment". The system was developed to prevent, notify and educate the user about any anomaly or malfunction of its internal and external electrical structure. The system is divided into two parts: one receives and processes the data, allowing the triggering of SMS alerts when there is any anomaly such as: demand about to exceed, power factor out of limits or generator failure, the other for desktops that allows the access from any device connected to the internet, such as cell phones, tablets or notebooks, allowing real-time monitoring of everything that is happening related to electricity consumption, in addition to allowing a daily, monthly or annual comparison of this data.
Results of
Telemetry has brought important advantages since the beginning of its implementation at IL Campanário, today demand is controlled through telemetry, with SMS alerts on cell phones when demand is about to exceed, allowing the disconnection of loads before the overtaking occurs, avoiding thus fines for overtaking demand.
The activation of the generators is also monitored via telemetry, as they are activated daily during peak hours (18:30 to 21:30). When there is a failure in the operation of the generators, alerts are also issued via SMS.
In addition, through telemetry, serious problems in the power factor of the complex were detected, which led to a thorough inspection, detecting a failure in the capacitor bank. The exchange of the bank was arranged and the problem was solved, reducing consumption and avoiding fines for excess reactive demand.
