Aimed at the interaction between the national industry and international knowledge centers, the recently created Inova Global Program is open to applications for companies interested in promoting research projects both abroad and in Brazil, through the exchange of fellow researchers. The deadline ends on the 30th of August. The initiative was conceived by the Business Mobilization for Innovation (MEI) and will be conducted in a partnership between the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL) and the National Center for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).

The program has its origins in the agenda of “Global insertion via innovation” and seeks to strengthen arrangements in the area of science, technology and innovation, in addition to training innovative talents. According to the National Superintendent of IEL and Director of Innovation of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), Gianna Sagazio, Inova Global will connect the Brazilian industry to international partners of reference in innovation.

“Inova Global will promote the exchange of experience with institutions of reference in innovation. Our idea is to help the Brazilian industry in the construction of applicable knowledge and in the consolidation of international partnerships”, details Gianna. “The exchanges will make it possible to transfer knowledge and skills between technology institutes abroad, world-class companies and the industry that operates in Brazil”, adds the IEL superintendent.

All guidelines, suggestions and other questions regarding the program must be sent to IEL, through the website www.programainovaglobal.com.br.

Among the benefits of Inova Global are access to the network of international partners; competitive cost for the execution of innovation projects; legal security to send and receive researchers; monitoring of exchanges; and evaluation of results.

To participate, the company needs to present an innovation project, providing for the travel of a scholarship holder to exchange in another company or the reception of a foreign researcher. During the entire process, the company will receive support from IEL, from the selection of the scholarship holder to the execution of the work plan.

The selected researcher must prepare a work plan with the participating institutions and conduct the research and development activities of the innovation project. The exchange expenses will be covered through a grant subsidized by the CNPq that includes tuition, air tickets, installation assistance and health insurance.
