· Create AI agents in under 5 minutes with the industry’s most comprehensive feature set

· Achieve 176% ROI in three years by automating hybrid cloud integration

· Turn enterprise data into the most powerful tool with the new watsonx.data, which can generate more accurate 40% AI agents

· Accelerate safe, scalable AI with 450 billion inference operations on the new LinuxONE 5

At the company’s annual THINK event, IBM (NYSE: IBM) unveiled new hybrid technologies that break down long-standing barriers to scaling enterprise AI by enabling companies to build and deploy AI agents with their own enterprise data. IBM estimates that more than one billion applications will emerge by 2028, putting pressure on businesses to grow in increasingly fragmented environments. This requires seamless integration, orchestration and data readiness.

IBM is combining hybrid technologies, agent capabilities, and IBM Consulting’s deep industry expertise to help companies operationalize AI.

“The era of AI experimentation is over. Today, competitive advantage comes from AI integration, purpose-built to drive measurable business outcomes,” said Arvind Krishna, IBM chairman and CEO. “IBM is empowering businesses with hybrid technologies that simplify complexity and accelerate production-ready AI deployments.”

Build AI agents in WatsonX Orchestrate that work with 80+ leading business applications

AI agents are moving from AI that talks to you to systems that work for you, but many companies struggle to integrate them into diverse environments, applications, and data. IBM offers a comprehensive set of enterprise-ready agent capabilities in WatsonX Orchestrate to help businesses put them into practice. The portfolio enables:

· Create your own agents in less than five minutes, with tools that facilitate the integration, customization and implementation of agents developed in any framework, from a (no-code) agent generator for non-technical users to advanced code tools1.

· Pre-designed specialized agents in areas such as Human Resources, Sales and Purchasing, with utility agents for simpler actions, such as web searches and calculations2.

· Integration with 80+ leading enterprise applications from vendors, including Adobe, AWS, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce Agentforce, SAP, ServiceNow and Workday.

· Agent orchestration to manage multiple agents and coordinate tools needed to handle complex projects.

· Agent observability to monitor performance, security, model optimization, and governance throughout the agent lifecycle3.

IBM is also introducing the new Agent Catalog in Watsonx Orchestrate to simplify access to over 150 prebuilt agents and tools from IBM and its broad ecosystem of partners, including Box, MasterCard, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Symplistic.ai, 11x, and more.

Forrester’s TEI projects a 176% ROI over 3 years by automating integration
IBM introduces webMethods Hybrid Integration5, a solution that replaces rigid workflows with intelligent, agent-driven automation. A Forrester Consulting Total Economic Impact (TEI) study found that an organization that adopted multiple webMethods integration capabilities over a three-year period realized6 a 1,76% ROI, a 40% reduction in downtime, and a 67% savings in time on simple projects, among other benefits.

Unlocking Unstructured Data for Generative AI

Unstructured data found in contracts, spreadsheets and presentations is one of a company’s most valuable yet underutilized assets. IBM is evolving watsonx.data to help organizations activate this data and drive more accurate and effective AI, while unifying, governing and activating their data across silos, formats and clouds. Organizations will be able to connect their AI applications and agents to their unstructured data using watsonx.data, which has been tested to generate 40% more accurate AI than conventional retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

IBM also introduces watsonx.data Integration and watsonx.data Intelligence, which uses AI technology to extract deep insights from unstructured data.

IBM’s new Content-Aware Storage (CAS) capability is available as a service in IBM Fusion. CAS enables continuous contextual processing of unstructured data so that extracted insights are readily available to RAG applications faster.

Infrastructure for AI Scale

IBM is introducing IBM LinuxONE 5, the most secure and highest-performing Linux platform yet for data, applications and trusted AI, capable of processing up to 450 billion AI inference operations per day. IBM LinuxONE 5 innovations include:

· IBM’s next-generation AI accelerators, such as the IBM Telum II AI processor-on-chip and the IBM Spyre accelerator card, to enable high-volume generative AI applications.

· Advanced security offerings with confidential containers to help customers protect their data and new integrations with quantum-resistant encryption.

· Significant reductions in costs and energy consumption by migrating native containerized workloads from an x86 solution to an IBM LinuxONE 5 running the same software products can save up to 44% in total cost of ownership over 5 years11.

IBM is also expanding its GPU alliances and storage collaborations with AMD, CoreWeave, Intel and NVIDIA to deliver new solutions for AI-enhanced compute-intensive and data-intensive workloads.
