With R$ 10 million in resources, the initiative will support projects in artificial intelligence in agribusiness, health, industry and smart cities

The IA2 MCTI Program, an initiative of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations (MCTI) held with the support of Softex, announces the list of 13 groups of CATI-accredited institutions (ICTs) and selected accelerators.

In this new program, which aims to employ artificial intelligence to accelerate technological evolution in four priority areas - agribusiness, health, industry and smart cities - the ICTs and accelerators will be responsible for supporting, monitoring the development of the solution and technological support, and the accelerators will respond for the investment and support in the scalability of the business model of the selected research projects.

The IA2 MCTIC Program aims to select 100 research projects for pre-acceleration and then fund up to 30 of them, enabling ICTs and accelerators to work together with startups, developing more robust solutions and creating businesses with greater impact. In addition to fostering new business, it provides access to national and international markets through open innovation.

IA2 MCTIC offers total investments of up to R$ 500k per project. Accelerators may retain equity and the Program will make a co-investment contribution of the same amount.

Until June 28, registration will continue for the selection of startups, research groups and technology companies interested in developing solutions within the scope of the Program. In the next phase, the anchor companies will be chosen to test and invest in the generated technologies.
