Huawei announced the release of its new Agile Network 3.0 enterprise network architecture of the Agile Internet of Things (IoT) solution to enable enterprises to build an agile Internet of Things infrastructure. Huawei's Agile Network solutions aim to create new business opportunities and promote the digitization of sectors such as production, manufacturing and logistics.
Huawei predicts that by 2025, around 100 billion connections will be generated worldwide and two million new sensors will be deployed every hour. However, current networks still do not support this demand. "Huawei believes that standardizing the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) infrastructure will promote the development of Internet applications, including Internet of Things applications. It is in this context that Huawei is launching our own IoT operating system, the LiteOS," said William Xu, Director of Strategy and Marketing at Huawei. The Agile IoT solution consists of three main components: Agile IoT gateway, Agile Controller and LiteOS.
LiteOS is the world's lightest IoT operating system at just 10KB. It can be widely applied in different areas, including smart homes, wearable devices, connected vehicles and other industries. LiteOS helps simplify the development of intelligent hardware to increase connectivity to the Internet of Things. In addition, LiteOS will be open to all developers, allowing them to quickly develop their own Internet of Things products.
While Huawei is focused on developing IoT infrastructure products and solutions, it is also committed to establishing an IoT ecosystem with partner developers. "Huawei has created a series of IoT solutions already applied in buildings, electricity meters, vehicles, gyms, factories, retail stores and street lighting. Huawei will continue to work with more partners to launch solutions based on our Agile architecture Network for different industry verticals," said Liu Shaowei, president of Huawei's Switch and Business Communications Product Line.
