Huawei and CPqD announced the installation of a reliability laboratory in Brazil, with the objective of supporting the development of studies and testing methodologies for ICT equipment, aiming to modernize the high-speed internet infrastructure in the Brazilian market - which includes optical communications equipment and assessment of compliance with advanced protocols such as IPv6. The initiative is an extension of the partnership that the two organizations signed in 2013.
 
Located at the CPqD facilities in Campinas (SP), the reliability laboratory includes an environment with testing infrastructure and conformity assessment for new access technologies, optical networks for high-speed transmission (GPON) and a high-speed network core. CPqD is the only organization capable of carrying out certification tests for equipment and optical fibers in Brazil, meeting national and international standards.

With this further agreement with CPqD, Huawei reaffirms its long-term commitment to innovation in Brazil and extends its leadership in innovation and in the market of next-generation telecommunications networks”, says Tito Ocampos, manager of Huawei's R&D Center. in Brazil.
