Company presents solutions for a better connected world

At the opening of the Mobile World Congress (MWC), held from March 2nd to 5th in Barcelona, Spain, Huawei announced its vision for the ICT industry – “Roads”, open roads for a better connected world – and presented a line of innovative ICT products and services.

“This new trend is stimulating transformations in all industries, as well as in the entire ICT segment, being a mechanism for the advancement and modernization of other industries. This will move the industry away from its traditional way of thinking centered on operations and network solutions, and prioritizing the user experience towards a new strategic approach that efficiently addresses the challenges brought by the mobile internet,” said Ryan Ding, CEO. of the Board and President of Huawei Products and Solutions.

The company understands that with the challenges resulting from increased data traffic from video streaming, there is a need to build a future-oriented infrastructure that not only supports ultra-mobile broadband, but also enables the ICT transformation fueled by a Internet-based architecture. There must also be an effort to create an open and healthy industry ecosystem, in which all participants in the value chain contribute and help.

The news for the segment are:

• SoftCOM Opening and Cooperation Campaign: Huawei is committed to transforming the telecommunications industry with its SoftCOM strategy, which leverages network virtualization (NFV), software-defined networking (SDN) and computing technologies. in the cloud to foster networks towards the convergence of ICTs. With its open NFV/SDN labs serving as the hub and connecting ICT innovation efforts around the world, Huawei actively advocates for an open ecosystem and works in partnership with standards organizations, open source communities, and companies across the industry to create an open ecosystem for the successful delivery of great user experiences.

• Business Enabling System (BES): Huawei's Business Enabling System will help operators accelerate digitization and create a robust ecosystem that facilitates open collaboration with partners to provide end-users with better services in massive quantities, spanning all five ROADS elements. It will also help operators carry out digital operations and manage their business in a more agile and efficient way.

• 4.5G: A new LTE concept and brand introduced by Huawei, 4.5G seeks to promote innovation beyond LTE, provide improved user experiences through new, better quality services and more connected devices, and ultimately help operators create business success and accelerate the seamless evolution of the industry towards 5G. Huawei understands that new 4.5G technologies will improve cellular capacity to the Gbps level, support 100 times more cellular connections than LTE, while reducing end-to-end latency at 80%.

• Large Bandwidth Router: In the era of FMC2.0 (FBB + MBB + Content), streaming video with a superior and seamless user experience has become an important component in operators' service portfolio. Huawei introduced a new Wide Bandwidth Router that minimizes bandwidth reduction caused by delay and packet loss to turn '0 wait time, no picture defect and no lag' into reality for 2K video transmission via mobile broadband, 4K ultra-HD video via fixed broadband, as well as great experiences in delivering other types of digital content.

•  FusionCloud Omni Solution: Huawei's FusionCloud Omni Solution is tailored to meet global operators' business demands for a public cloud by fully enabling interoperability between heterogeneous private and public clouds and acting as a self-service hybrid cloud system.
