With the transaction, the group expands the MultiSaaS business portfolio in construction, now covering 80% of the solution chain for this market
The Softplan Group, one of the largest MultiSaaS and digital transformation business ecosystems in the country, acquires Construmarket, a construtech that offers digital, software, content and intelligence solutions aimed at the civil construction and facilities market. For more than two decades in the market and with large construction companies, corporations and industries in its portfolio, such as Cyrela, Eztec, Tecnisa, Ambev, Votorantim and RedeD´Or, the acquired company automates projects, construction sites, purchase and sale of materials, management of facilities and industrial maintenance, generating savings, efficiency and productivity.
The consolidation of the portfolio and experiences of the two companies creates a unique synergy for the benefit of customers, who can now count on the group's expertise in 80% across the entire construction production chain. With this, customers now have access to an even more diverse range of reference products and services, such as Sienge, Construmanager, Construcompras, among others, from planning and construction of the project to the sale and delivery of the keys, including maintenance and repairs.

Softplan Headquarters
“The acquisition of Construmarket brings numerous benefits and results to the civil construction market in the country, which is very booming. It is a movement that corroborates our strategy of strengthening and expanding the segments in which we operate, increasing our presence in the construction chain and allowing us to generate even more value for our customers”, says Eduardo Smith, CEO of Softplan. According to the executive, the group's operating model has proven to be correct and should be applied to other verticals, current and future.
This is the tenth acquisition made by Softplan in its history, the third only in 2023, and is a significant milestone towards the expansion and continued growth of the group in a process that has been developing since 2019. Six of the ten companies acquired were in Construction Industry Unit, a segment that should represent the company's biggest growth in 2023, with expected revenue of more than R$200 million with the arrival of Construmarket.
Construmarket will have a relevant and complementary role in the construction industry's technological ecosystem, comprising Sienge, CV CRM, Prevision, Refera, eCustos and Collabo. With this, Softplan now has more than 1.2 million users in its base, with more than 210 thousand works digitized and 12 thousand construction companies, developers and project offices served by the company. With the arrival of Construmarket, Softplan Group's solutions transact R$55 billion in inputs per year, reinforcing its supply chain strategy for the segment, which began with the acquisition of Collabo in 2022.
“We are very optimistic about the civil construction sector, which was the one that generated the most formal jobs in Brazil in the first months of 2023, according to the Ministry of Labor. Data from the Brazilian Association of Real Estate Developers indicate that by 2030 the country will require 30 million new housing properties, a very promising scenario and we are prepared to support the realization of this scenario” explains Ionan Fernandes, Executive Director of Softplan for the Construction Industry .
Construmarket's revenue this year will be R$38 million, an increase of 18% compared to last year. The company has 183 employees and national coverage with around 2,200 customers distributed across all regions of Brazil. It is responsible for serving more than 750 thousand monthly users on its platforms and portals, in addition to having more than 70 thousand works digitized and more than 800 thousand equipment and locations monitored.
For Jorge Alvarez, CEO of Construmarket, the transaction will help accelerate the digital transformation of the construction sector and expand innovative actions throughout the country. “From this union with the Softplan technological ecosystem, we became even bigger, establishing new levels of integration and possibilities for the market. What motivated us to this movement was the synergy of objectives, the identity of culture and the possibility of reaching new customers. The union of our companies allows us to scale the presence and accelerate the growth of all construction professionals, driving digital transformation and, of course, improving people's quality of life”, highlights the executive.
Technology at the service of civil construction
Data from the report “The scenario of technology adoption in the Construction Industry”, carried out by Sienge in partnership with HINC, shows that there are still many opportunities open for this segment.
Research carried out by Deloitte indicates that only 1.2% of the revenue of development and construction companies is invested in technology, even when the impacts of using software are proven to be positive. Data taken from the AECWeb portal survey of 500 Brazilian companies indicate an increase of 26% in productivity, 22% in process automation and 21% in cost reduction.
Given this scenario and with the acquisitions made over the last few years, the Softplan Group achieved an unprecedented feat in the segment by integrating the construction ecosystem from end to end, covering 80% of the production chain with specialist technologies. This step strengthens the group's strategy and consolidates Brazilian leadership in solutions for the Construction Industry, providing services and products that complement each other and enhance results.
