The FCamara Group's Training Program had 11,000 applicants in 2021 and inspires other companies to create their own training systems for training technology professionals
Registration for new classes opens on the 28/02th and interested parties will be able to complete registration until 03/18
By 2025, almost 800,000 new jobs for technology professionals should be created in the country, according to an updated projection by the Association of Information and Communication Technology Companies – Brasscom. However, the same projection indicates that 67% of these vacancies – more than half a million – may not be filled due to a lack of qualified professionals. This deficit worries the market and increases the importance of initiatives that reduce the labor shortage. It is the case of Grupo FCamara, a consultancy for technological solutions and digital transformation, which for five years has maintained a Training Program to train people who want to enter the area and had 11 thousand enrolled in 2021 alone. Some of the graduates end up being hired by the Group itself and others are absorbed by partner companies and customers. In addition, FCamara has been helping some companies to implement their own training programs, helping to further increase the training of professionals in technology.
“We know that the Program is efficient in what it proposes and has brought us several benefits. With this, we realize that we can help other companies to build this same solution, polish the whole process from scratch and help them to reduce a big problem, which is the lack of professionals in the market. And this is very important for us, because it creates this sense of community and puts Grupo FCamara at the center of an ecosystem that involves big names”, says Fabio Camara, CEO of Grupo FCamara.
In the last edition, the Training Program had a growth in the demand for participating women, who were 35% of those enrolled, and also a high rate of people looking for replacement – 59% of the candidates were not working. Among those employed, 67% did not work with technology. The predominant age groups were 25 to 30 years old (35%), 31 to 35 years old (16%) and 41 to 50 years old (6%).
“The data show that the profile of people interested in joining the area is diversifying and that the rate of people who seek technology when changing careers is high. It is a fast-growing market with a boom in opportunities. Those who qualify have a huge field of action to explore. And because we are a consultancy, we have a very diverse environment that allows for very rich experimentation and training”, emphasizes the CEO.
Participants are trained by performing and learning in practice what a professional in the technology sector does. In addition to technical skills, aspects of relationship, communication and philosophy are worked on. In its latest edition, registration was opened for all Brazil, covering students from more than 66 faculties across Brazil, from different areas, including people who are going through career migration. Unlike other programs, participants in the FCamara program first go through a selection process and, if approved, begin the training phase, which is remunerated and has the possibility of being hired. During the Program, they can also participate in study groups and have coaching with the CEO of the Group.
