As part of its international growth strategy, the German group Comparex entered into a partnership with the Brazilian integrator 2S Inovações Tecnológicas, acquiring 60% of interest in its Microsoft solutions business unit. The acquisition agreement was signed at the end of April.

Under the Comparex Brasil brand, the new unit will operate as an independent entity, integrated to the group, and will provide software management solutions, services and purchasing and asset management processes. Worldwide, Comparex has a strong presence in Cloud solutions, mainly related to Microsoft Office 365 technology, in addition to a strong focus on unified communications and collaboration solutions from Microsoft.

Brazil is the 31st country where the group operates with its subsidiaries and marks the first step in the expansion plans in South America. “Comparex Brasil completes our representation in the BRIC countries and opens up the South American market”, says John Havlick, Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific & Americas.

Christiano Knott, a partner who previously served as Director of Alliances at 2S, will be responsible for Comparex Brasil, acting as general manager. 2S, which is a Cisco Gold Partner, will continue to operate its Cisco business without any changes and will not be part of the group. The company will remain focused exclusively on its greatest strength, which is knowledge of Cisco solutions and technologies. The president and founding partner of 2S, Renato Carneiro, will remain in charge of 2S, in addition to taking over as an advisor at Comparex Brasil.
