– The Group’s objective is to consolidate itself in the hospitals and clinics market, segments that require complete and integrated solutions to ensure efficient management of patient care, clinical and surgical electronic medical records, billing and other operational, administrative and financial processes

– Strategy is part of the company's growth plan, which includes an investment of more than R$ 80 million to double its size over the next 3 years

As part of its solid growth plan, which includes investing more than R$ 80 million to double its size over the next 3 years, the Benner Group, a leader in technology and business management solutions, has just announced the acquisition of the company Moderna, software specialist for the management of hospitals, polyclinics and specialized clinics. The purchase is in line with the company's objective of consolidating its presence in the market, reinforcing its commitment to providing cutting-edge technology to the health.

According to the CEO of the Benner Group, Severino Benner, the acquisition was specially planned to serve a niche that is currently unserved by integrated solutions, which requires greater operational efficiency and optimization of the patient journey. “Today, there are around 70 thousand participating hospitals and clinics to implement solutions with greater coverage in the Brazilian market. These institutions need technologies that can meet challenges that permeate their daily lives, such as the lack of integration of areas and systems, which can often lead to operational inefficiencies and the growing demand for financial and people management”, he explains.

To meet these needs, the Moderna platform, combined with other healthcare offerings from the Benner Group, represents an innovative, efficient and integrated solution for the management of hospitals, polyclinics and specialized clinics. “The technology addresses each stage of the service cycle, from optimizing the patient experience through the scheduling portal, self-service totem, automatic check-in and call panel, patient medical records, authorizations and billing for health insurance plans and private individuals, in addition to other operational, administrative and financial controls. Furthermore, the platform is hybrid and can work both on premise and in the cloud”, he states.

Already consolidated experience in the healthcare sector

Currently, the Benner Group has a complete portfolio of health management systems, and also offers back-office products, such as ERP, HR, Logistics and Legal. “The acquisition of Moderna will further boost our business objectives, considering that this move significantly expands our client portfolio in the segment”, he adds. Currently, the Moderna platform is in more than 200 clinics and hospitals across the country, with large clients who have national and international quality accreditation.

For Severino Benner, offering technology platforms for hospitals, polyclinics and specialized clinics is favorable, since, in addition to the pain in the processes that managers and doctors face on a daily basis, these institutions also seek technological solutions to optimize patient management. , medical records and apply telemedicine. Furthermore, the growing need to adhere to strict privacy and data security regulations, such as LGPD in Brazil and HIPAA in the USA, makes this type of solution even more attractive, according to the executive.

Moderna’s acquisition process

The Benner Group carried out an in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities and possible acquisition candidates, always considering financial, strategic and operational criteria, to ensure a choice aligned with the company's objectives. The strategy outlined includes innovation, market expansion, excellence in customer service, operational efficiency and corporate responsibility, as Severino comments. “Acquisitions like this play a crucial role in this process, allowing the Group to complement existing capabilities, acquire new technologies, skills and penetrate new niches”, he adds.

The operation relies on the maintenance of Moderna employees and managers incorporated into Benner and investment in the evolution of technological solutions and improving the customer experience.
