According to data from Radar FinTech Lab, Brazil reached the end of the first half of 2018 with a total of 453 financial startups in operation, considering the concepts of FinTechs itself and platforms dedicated to financial efficiency. In the world, there are already unicorn FinTechs with a valuation that exceeds the mark of US$ 1 billion, which are impacting the global financial market.

In tune with this movement, the Swiss Business Hub Brazil, the Swiss government's official business promotion agency in the Brazilian market, is organizing a delegation of Brazilian FinTech companies to visit Switzerland in June, with free membership. The entrepreneur must bear the costs of travel, accommodation and food.

The objective is to identify synergies and potential partnerships in the dynamic FinTech ecosystem in Switzerland, considered a global hub for startups in the segment, a country in which Facebook has just created a FinTech focused on means of payment and blockchain.

In the consolidation phase, the program of this FinTech mission, which starts on 06/19, has the following activities planned:

June 19, 2019

  • Investment Workshop in Switzerland and networking lunch
  • Presentations by the companies of the Brazilian delegation and representatives of the cantons, with their proposals and incentives for Brazilian entrepreneurs
  • Meeting with crypto friendly banks in Switzerland
  • Associations linked to the FinTech sector
June 20, 2019
  • Visits to the F10 and BLOCKCHAIN PROPULSION accelerators
  • Meeting with lawyers for guidance on starting a business, taxation and compliance in crypto business
June 21, 2019
  • visit to Zug
  • Visit to the Crypto Valley Labs accelerator
  • Meeting with local economic department
