Norm will guide the actions of agencies in the area until 2019
“In our personal lives, we don't do anything without IT tools and it's the same in public organizations. Our goal is for the citizen, by cell phone, to enter government portals and solve all their needs in a practical and fast way without having to go to an agency in person”, exemplifies the Secretary of Information Technology of the MP, Cristiano Heckert. The main task of STI with the agencies, in this first semester, will be to identify which government services can be migrated to the digital world. All information collected will be made available on the Government Services Portal.
The EGD establishes the strategic objectives, goals and indicators for IT to support the bodies' core activities within the scope of the Digital Governance Policy, created by Decree No. 8,638 on January 18, 2016. “We want a digital 100% government. Let's invest in the quality of life of the citizen, because time is our most precious asset. We cannot lose it in queues or circulating in different agencies”, says the secretary.
In addition to providing digital services, the strategy's pillars are encouraging society's participation in public policies and expanding access to information. The EGD promotes, for example, the publication of information in an open format on the Open Data Portal (dados.gov.br). “We want to get closer to citizens, taking advantage of the potential that technological advances allow us. Our medium-term objective is to have mechanisms of direct democracy through digital channels”, adds Heckert.
elaboration
The work to build the EGD began in the first half of 2015. To prepare the document, the Information Technology Secretariat (STI) held a seminar, three workshops and opened a public consultation on the Social Participation Portal (Participa.br) to receive suggestions from managers, servers, academia and society in general.
