Three will be selected at Hub55, a center for international business development.

 

The government of the US state of Connecticut is offering a subsidy of 50% in the costs for companies to settle in Hub55, a center for the development of Brazilian businesses in the city of New Haven, in the state. The benefit will be given to companies from any industry that apply and pass the Hub55 selection process. During the six-month period, the selected companies will have access to the benefit to structure and accelerate their operations in the North American market.
 
According to Jason Giulietti, vice president of Business Recruitment at the Connecticut Economic Resource Center (CERC), the state's investment attraction agency, the intention is to enable more companies to benefit from the experiences that are already taking place between Brazil and the United States. . “In less than a year of working together with Hub55, we have recorded successful cases, with activation of partnerships, business and job creation. We believe that, with this new stimulus, we will be able to expand this activity”, he says.
 
In order to stimulate the generation of local jobs and investments in infrastructure and machinery, the selected companies will be able to receive additional incentives from the state of Connecticut, after the six months of stay in the region and based on a proposed business plan.

Hub55 is an internationalization platform that reduces costs and accelerates the process of expanding and developing international business. With a complete structure in the city of New Haven, it houses ten different businesses, including companies and international representations of institutions such as the Association for the Promotion of Excellence in Brazilian Software (Softex), the Brazilian Association of the Medical and Dental Equipment Industry (Abimo) and the São José dos Campos Technological Park.
 
“Participating in Hub55 allows companies to realistically work on their international expansion plans, experiencing the day-to-day life of the North American market and business environment. In partnership with the local government, we offer all the support for this process to be successful”, says Pamela Ariane da Silva, director of Hub55 and specialist in business internationalization.
 
The structure includes an established office, bilingual administrative support team, services subsidized by the local government, assistance in structuring a business plan, recruitment of professionals and networking services, for presenting the company to the local community, including partners and potential customers.
