For seven days, around ten thousand leaders in 30 countries are expected to participate in the event that wants to contribute to the strategic transformations in retail and consumption in the post-Covid world 19

In its first edition, the GLOBAL RETAIL SHOW happen simultaneously between the days September 13 and 19 in countries on different continents in real time and online to discuss the resumption of retail and the future of consumption from a global perspective, taking content from relevant markets. Approximately ten thousand people are expected in the event's plenary sessions and thematic sessions, which will be distributed in 65 panels with more than 270 national and international speakers. The event will have relevant names from the world to debate the most important trends in the reinvention of business and will have lectures, discussions, in sessions with themes distributed in 19 knowledge tracks and curated by 14 countries in the content, including technology, finance, big data, digital, marketing, shopping center, franchising, foodservice, e-commerce, startup, logistics, people, among others.

In addition to the qualified content, the virtual marathon will also feature the presentation of exclusive surveys, one on the Consumer of Tomorrow held in 14 countries; and another on the Future of Retail in the Vision of those who do Retail in Brazil, this is carried out in partnership with the Center for Excellence in Retail at FGV / EAESP.

For Marcos Gouvêa de Souza, general director of the GS & Gouvêa de Souza Group, the GLOBAL RETAIL SHOW was born as a platform for discussion and debate to integrate retailers and consumer companies, to maximize collaboration between entrepreneurs, executives, governments, companies and society. “In the same way that the global dissemination of Covid-19 impacted everyone, regardless of geography or level of development, it is time to be inspired to spread what can be done in a positive way and the knowledge acquired in the crisis, to accelerate the resumption and expansion of business and reduce inequality in the world ”, comments the businessman.

In addition to the content that will be presented during the seven days, the event will have a special honoree every year. In this first edition, businessman Abilio Diniz was nominated as the personality of the GLOBAL RETAIL SHOW 2020, as he is the most global of Brazilian retail and consumer entrepreneurs.
