Technologies that address GenAI-enabled code architecture, disinformation security, and surface asset management will be widely adopted by 2030
O Gartner, Inc.. identifies 12 emerging technological disruptions that will define the future of enterprise systems. Technology leaders should prioritize them over the next five years, as they present competitive opportunities in the short term and will eventually become standard in enterprises.
“Technology leaders must act now to gain first-mover advantage in these technologies,” he says. Bill Ray, Distinguished Vice President and Analyst at Gartner. “Innovative advances such as code-enabled architecture Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), security against disinformation and Earth Intelligence, will provide the differentiation needed to help companies stand out in terms of data and product offerings.”
Each early-stage technology disruptor is significant in its own right, but together they begin to define broader emerging solutions for new business practices. For example, the advancement of GenAI technologies will generate new solutions around Earth Intelligence and business simulation, will stimulate the expansive growth of domain-specific language models and lead to higher-functioning tools.

Others insights about technology market disruptors are:
GenAI-enabled code architecture will enable dynamic and composable applications
The solution systems of GenAI that use free-form text input/output and multimedia will replace the conventional form-driven sequential user interface in established enterprise applications and enable new user scenarios.
“To remain competitive, traditional enterprise software vendors will need to restructure their applications to support composable GenAI solutions that are triggered on demand through textual and multimodal prompts,” he says. Ray Valdes, Vice President and Analyst at Gartner.
Therefore, Gartner predicts that by 2029, more than 50% of user interactions tied to business processes in enterprises will leverage large language models to bypass the user interface layer in traditional enterprise applications, compared to less than 5% today.
Products and services to address disinformation security
THE safety Counter-disinformation is an emerging discipline focused on threats from outside the company-controlled network. It includes a set of technologies, such as detection deepfake, impersonation prevention and reputation protection, which can address misinformation to help businesses discern trust, protect their brand and secure their online presence
Gartner predicts that by 2030, at least half of enterprises will have adopted products or services to address disinformation security, compared to less than 5% in 2024.
“Disinformation attacks use external infrastructure, such as social media, and originate from areas with limited legal oversight,” it says Alfredo Ramirez IV, Senior Director Analyst at Gartner. “Technology leaders must add ‘misinformation protection’ mechanisms to products using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (machine learning) for content verification and data provenance tracking to help users discern the truth.”
Earth Intelligence
Gartner predicts that by 2028, 80% of Earth's major surface assets will be monitored globally by active satellites.
Earth Intelligence uses AI to analyze satellite, aerial, and ground data to monitor Earth's assets and activities, providing insights for decision making.
“This does not mean maps and graphs. Earth Intelligence is providing figures on global nickel production, theme park revenue and the health of wheat crops, to name a few,” adds Ray.
Given the breadth of applications, the Earth Intelligence is applicable to all industries and companies. Defense was an early adopter of the technology, but improvements in data quality and analytics have rapidly expanded the use cases. The defense market Earth Intelligence is divided between those who capture the data, those who interpret and analyze it, and those who generate industry-specific insights.
“Earth Intelligence “It applies to all businesses,” says Ray. “Companies can gain a head start by applying it creatively and strategically to significantly enhance specific functionality of existing systems or to compete through new capabilities.”
