At the center of the discussion are new transactional, security and identification technologies to offer a better consumer experience

Futurecom, an important technology, telecommunications and digital transformation event in Latin America, returns to its face-to-face format, with an expected audience of 30,000 people and the presence of more than 150 leading brands in the technology market, which will bring news and trends from the national and international market.

The event, which will take place from October 18th to 20th at São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo, will feature four thematic plenary sessions: Future Congress, with discussions related to the impact of ICT by specialists and users; Future GOV, which will bring questions about technological demands of public administration; Future JUD with content on the impacts of 5G on the judiciary sector and Future Payment, which will address the future of payments, financial services and new transactional, security and identification technologies.

5G and biometrics for payment are already a reality in the financial sector. “The impact of new technologies, innovations and the main trends for electronic payment methods will be highlighted themes in the Future Payment plenary, which will bring together important names from the national market”, says Hermano Pinto, director of the Technology and Infrastructure Portfolio at Informa Markets, responsible for Futurecom.

October 18th

9:45 am – Eduardo Abreu, Vice President of New Business at Visa do Brasil, will address the evolution of payment methods and the constant search for more efficiency, simplicity and agility in operations, during the lecture “Possible scenarios for the future of financial services and means of payment in the digital age”.

2 pm – Is it worth investing in the virtual environment, how to monetize it and what products and services to include in the Metaverse, what are the risks and challenges of this new technology? These and other questions will be discussed during the panel “The Metaverse in financial services: expectations X reality”, with Alessandra Montini, director of Labdata-FIA, and Marina Mansur, partner at McKinsey.

October 19th

9 am – With the arrival of 5G, the tendency is for new services and financial products to appear in applications, with the use of media, artificial intelligence and virtual and augmented reality, in online or face-to-face consumption experiences. The panel “The impact of 5G on electronic means of payment” will discuss the topic with experts such as Claise Muller Raúben, director of products, segments and digital channels at Banrisul, Julierme de Souza, Executive Manager of Banco do Brasil and Marcelo Haddad, head of products at Neon Bank.

3pm – In the panel “Biometrics: payments with the face and voice are already a reality”, Fernanda Beato, director of sales and customers at Unico, and Henrique Mattiello, head of business for the private market at Serpro, will discuss the implementation of payment by voice and facial recognition in some retail chains in the country.

October 20th

9:30 am – “In the game of hyperpersonalization, the customer will always be the great champion” is the subject of a debate on what traditional financial institutions, digital banks and an ecosystem of fintechs are doing to improve services and create financial solutions for the consumer, that gains more power of choice and protagonism in the customization of services. To talk about the subject, the following were invited: Bárbara Pamplona, Grouwth and UX superintendent at Banco Inter; Estevão Lazanha, director of technology at Banco Itaú; Fabio Lins, executive superintendent of Channels, Pix and Open Banking at Banco Original, and José Restrepo, director of product marketing at Banco Unico.

4:30 pm – In the lecture “Payment without borders: how to carry out an efficient and safe cross border?”, Roberto Matsuzaka, product manager at Visa do Brasil, will talk about efficiency and security for those who pay and who receive in cross-border operations.
