The NTT DATA Brasil Foundation opens registrations for the tenth edition of the eAwards, an award aimed at startups that develop innovative technological solutions for the healthcare sector. The eAwards 2024 seeks to recognize and reward startups that contribute to improving the population's quality of life through technology.
Startups interested in participating in the eAwards 2024 can register for free until May 28th on here. The projects will be evaluated by a jury made up of renowned experts from the health and technology sector, based on criteria such as social impact, technological innovation, business viability and scalability potential.
Projects can be submitted in the following categories:
- Generative AI and healthcare: Health promotion, health diagnostics, population health, chatbots, early detection of outbreaks, self-care, management, identification of risk factors in diseases, prevention of negative health outcomes, wearable devices, etc.
- Smart cities: Expanding access to health services, connected health, reducing urban mobility, interoperability, sustainability in health, inclusive urban spaces, reducing pollutants, integrating services, etc.
- Digital Therapies: Use of programs and software that are capable of preventing, managing or treating a health disorder, hybrid care, accessibility, interdisciplinary care, digital literacy, chronic diseases, mental health and occupational health.
- Health management: Blockchain in healthcare input chain, healthcare fraud detection, patient-centric care, healthcare cost reduction, disease monitoring
Awards and recognition
The winner of the eAwards Brasil will receive R＄70,000.00 in prizes, in addition to specialized mentoring from NTT DATA Brasil to assist in business development. The winner will also have the opportunity to represent Brazil in the eAwards global final, competing for a prize of €100,000 and an exclusive international acceleration program.
The eAwards 2024 goes beyond just an award. The initiative offers participating startups the opportunity to:

Supporting the future of healthcare
Over the course of ten years, the eAwards has awarded several startups that are transforming the healthcare sector in Brazil. The NTT DATA Brasil Foundation initiative reinforces the organization's commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and the country's socioeconomic development.
Among the startups that stood out in previous editions are: Anestech, which promotes digital transformation through anesthesiology; Epistemic, with a solution for early detection of epileptic outbreaks; Fófuuu, software for speech therapy treatments; Phelcom, portable retinography; Nuclearis, a system based on nuclear medicine; Neurobots, which created an exoskeleton controlled by the brain, which helps in the recovery of patients who have suffered strokes; Cor.Sync, a solution for rapid and accurate diagnosis of heart attack, designed to be used in hospital emergency care; SAS SMART, which develops and implements solutions for access to health and medical care. These startups won other awards and obtained contributions from important market players; and, finally, In Situ, which won the award with a 3D Biocurative containing stem cells for the treatment of difficult-to-relieve wounds.
